Overview

Be understood the first time. Six lessons on what communication is and why it fails; active listening, open questions and empathy; understanding speech at natural speed; signposting your points so a listener can follow them; planning a talk and delivering it with clear sounds and useful intonation; and how leaders communicate — then a graded mock plus a three-minute unscripted capstone. Every lesson puts you on the microphone. Note: Business English BE-L4 covers the same signposting for corporate presentations, so if you have taken it you can skip Unit 4.
